The disadvanatges are that you wouldn't have a job if you were to go bankrupt or something like that. The advantages are that you never had to work for living, you had all your stuff just givven to you!
ReplyDeleteI think some of the disadvantages are that you might get bored because you would run out of things to do eventually. Also you wouldn't have any money if something happened to your money that you are living off of. However, if you don't have a job you could clean up around your house and make it really nice to live in. Also you would be able to spend more time with your family.
ReplyDeleteWell, I, personally would not want to work. But that could not be healthy for me. If all I did was sit on the couch like a moveless statue I would gain some unnecessary weight. Now if I did work, I could gain more muscle than weight. If I didn't work, I would have nothing to do! I would be on the couch as bored as a board!! Now if you don't want to work, sit there with nothing to do, and spend all the money you've got because you're rich, be my guest!! I am very dissapointed with Abel.
ReplyDeleteI would say that some of the advantages of not working would be you would not have to think hard. You would not have to get up early in the morning. Another advantage is you would not have to bring some work home and finish it. Some disadvantages are you would get home late. Another disadvantage is (if you had kids that were 4 or over) your kids would call you every waking second.
ReplyDeleteI believe that Abel doesn't have to work because he has fancy clothes. An advantage of not having to work is not getting dirty.A disadvantage is you want be considered a hard worker but you don't do anything.Another disadvantage is if Able gets people to do his work they might not be his friend anymore.A disadvantage is that no one will hire Able for a job he wants.
ReplyDeleteWell, since some of us would rather not work, we get a break, so that's an advantage. But some of us need to work to build character. And also when we work we are not being lazy. But who wants to work, because I am not always a very big fan of work. Some work is fun, like being a paper-boy might be fun when you ride your bike and throw some stuff like a baseball.That is how I feel about work.
ReplyDeleteI think that there are alot of both advantages and disadvantages about not working. An advantage is that you can sit at home all day and watch t.v. A disadvantage is that you may become fat from not working out. Theres also the disadvantage that if you get kicked out of your house you don't have a job so you can't bye a house. So that pretty much means that you have to live on the street as a hobo.So in my opinion it's best to get a job.

ReplyDeleteMany of you wrote that, although you wouldn't mind a life of leisure, you thought that it could lead to some serious boredom. I concur! Working, and doing your best in your profession, does give you a sense of accomplishment and helps you discover your true character. Good job, students!

ReplyDeleteWrightsboro students, it was so interesting to read your thoughts about the idea of working versus non-working. Although it certainly sounds tempting to enjoy a life without work, I believe that work gives us all a sense of purpose in life. The key is to choose work that you feel passionate about and then it doesn't even feel like work!
ReplyDeleteI find your comments well thought out and interesting. Something else to think about....What if you were wealthy, how could you devote your time and energy (along with money) in a positive way to improve society?
ReplyDeleteIf you did not have to work for a living, life would be both boring and fun. you would have more time to do what want, and you would get bored of doing the same old thing.
ReplyDeleteThe disadvantges are he gets money for nothing and it is a good feeling to have to know that you got money for doing something also all Abel really does is not work and I also like to earn money for doing something and its a good feeling. The advantges are you get to live in luxury while other people work and you get pampered and other people have to pay with their hard earned money and Abel should be happy but its not always money,money,money some times it does not hurt to work.I think that you should work hard and by doing that you will feel good about it.
ReplyDeleteThere is many advanages and disadvanages.Here is some advanages I thought up, If you didn't work you would not get yelled at by your boss.Also if you have kids won't leave them in a house full of brakeable, expensive and valuble items. Also you would not work all night.Here are some disadvanages.If your a man you might get yelled at by your wife. Also you'd get chubby or sick.
ReplyDeleteWell if you don't work you could become fat and if you do work you have money of your own.If you do work you have to get up early in the morning.If you don't work you don't have to get up early in the morning.I hate getting up early.You can get nice stuff of your own with out taking money out of your mom's purse.

Another disadvantage would be that you would be lazy and one day something will fall on you and you are going to have to work to make it better again. An advantage is that you would not have to wake up early in the morning to go to work. You also could just buy anything that you wanted.
