Welcome! This is where students @ Wrightsboro Elementary can communicate their points of view about reading with other students in our school. Periodically, Mrs. Whitmore will post new questions about book recommendations to which you may respond. Remember to make your responses clear and informative. Be sure to use blogging etiquette in your responses. You may respond as an individual, a group of friends, with a family member, or as a class. See this month's prompt below.
He was bored and lonely on the little island in the middle of nowhere he was lonely until he met Gower a frog that was an elderly fellow coming out of the dangerous river.
ReplyDeleteI think that Able kept the feather to feel stronger. He wants to remember the owl that he defeated it in battle. That way he could pass the story of it down from generation to generation.
ReplyDeleteI think Abel kept the owl feather to let let the owl know that Abelard Hassam Di Chirico Flint is ahead.I think Abel will tie the feather on the end of his spear.
ReplyDeleteI think he kept the owl feather because he was cursing the owl. That's what those weird words were, right? I mean, he said this:
ReplyDeleteFowl owl, ugly you,
You'll never get me,
Whatever you do.
You cannot hurt me,
You cannot kill,
You're in my power,
I have your quill!
If that doesn't sound like a curse, I don't know what is one.
So something or someone (I mean a mouse person) can come or an owl can come and help him and take him back to his beloved wife which is his love I think that mouse love is the cutest thing ever!!!
ReplyDeleteBecause he really hated that owl. He wanted to control the owl so he would make him fly away. His curse was crazy! He must have drank some wine before saying the chant. Foul owl, ugly you,You'll never get me,What ever you do. You cannot hurt me,you cannot kill,You're in my power,I have your quill! Weird is'nt it!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest I think Abel was just plain insane.
ReplyDeleteI think Abel did it because he's mad. If an owl tried too eat me for lunch, I think I would be mad too. Or he may have done it to entertain himself. If I were stranded on an island for about a year, I would be bored. Or maybe he's just insane. I don't know.
ReplyDeleteI think Able kept the feather because he would have proof that he defeeted an owl. A mouse defeeting an owl is like a human defeeting a lion! I think that is pretty exiting!
ReplyDeleteI think that Abel kept the owl feather because its like war. If you take osmething from the other side you feel like you did something terrible to them but something wondreful for your side. He wrote a chant about the owl because he wanted to curse the owl by using the feather and reading the chant outloud to it.
